The Greatest Education

The most important thing
I learned today was the
name of the boy I see every
day sitting on the bench.
Rustling of leaves just outside
the window drowns out the
whispering Professor; the
hum of the bus station whirs
me into staring at the patterns
on your scarf. The white sun
signals rain. They're closing
up the umbrellas on the patio.
It's unanimous: It makes us
apprehensive to be so close to
failure at all times, but we enjoy
it more than failing.
We never learn anything.
